We need rules, because anarchy only looks appealing in a big-screen action movie. Ever been driving the speed limit on a highway and glance at the person next to you, who is also hurtling down the road in a one-ton metal machine, 15 feet from you? Makes you really, really grateful for rules, and scared of those who are willing to break them. But some rules, as they say, are made to be broken. Especially the rules we follow in our relationships that keep us from making authentic connections with others.
