10. BEHOLD

Other seed fell into good soil and brought forth grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirty and sixty and a hundredfold.” And he said, “Let anyone with ears to hear listen!”

Mark 4:1-20

Calling
NOW

Listening to God

God of the harvest,
you sow the seeds
of your Word
across every field
and valley on the earth.
Everywhere we turn,
you invite us to
behold the holy mysteries
of your work
in the world.

Perhaps nowhere is your work
more evident than
in the pages of Scripture.
Story upon story
reveals your goodness,
how you carefully tend
seeds of love
among your people,
and make possible
their growth.

With open hands we ask for inspiration
for our own growth
in the stories of
our ancestors in Scripture.
Prompt us to daily
And moment-to-moment prayer.
Nurture our callings,
like a well-tended garden,
to blossom as you intend.

Amen
